Not at all. Our matcha is neatly and safely packaged in a jiffy bag which is a little bigger than a DVD case.
Matcha is a high grade of green tea that is ideal for use in protein shakes, as a cold beverage with a hint of lemon (our favourite) or brewed as a hot tea.
Our matcha is sourced straight from traditional farmers in Japan. Only the most tender leaves are picked for use in our matcha. It is packed full of phytonutrients and antioxidants.
Matcha is an expensive, high end product. It has a higher price due to increasing demand and limited supply. It is also very labour intensive due to the nature of how it is grown and harvested. Only the youngest, high quality leaves are used in premium grade matcha. If you were to come across a cheap matcha it is most likely an inferior product with less overall benefits. To be sure, a general rule will be that a higher priced product will be of a better quality. Despite the high price, we do run promotions and special offer codes so be on the look out on our website and social media accounts!
Generally, the matcha will last for a year after being packaged. Once opened, it will stay fresh up to 6 months providing it is left out of direct sunlight and not exposed to moisture.

There are many great ways to enjoy matcha green tea. Either the traditional way, as an ice cold refreshing beverage or in smoothies or protein shakes. See our 'how to prepare matcha' for more info.
